3.15.26- New Art!

Adding a blog to my website- Felt it might be a good place where I can elaborate on ideas and share works in progress. The artwork section of my page does a great job of displaying the final work but it’s hard to share the progress and some of my thoughts/intentions. Let’s see how much we’ll update.

First item on the blog is the latest illustration I just wrapped up. What originally meant to be character design exercise eventually turned into an illustration. I love telling stories and want to continue to improve my storytelling capabilities. While working on a creature lineup, I felt it would be more compelling if I presented some of these folks in a composition than just as rows/columns of character design. I ended up picking 4 of the little creatures and modified them to work well in the illustration. Inspired by art you might see in a children’s book- I decided to create this composition of 3 travelers encountering a giant monster. Kept it monotone but really debating if I should go back and take it to color. Regardless, really enjoyed working on this piece.

3.18.26- Commemorative DC Worlds Collide Statuette arrived this morning!

Fun little surprise in the mail this morning- Our Statuettes finally arrived! Shipping a game is very difficult at times; it’s always nice to treat your team right and let them know you appreciate their hard work in shipping a game. Studio Leadership wanted to do just that and commemorate the special occasion by having these statuettes created. This is one of the nicest team gifts I’ve received! TAKEOFF Creative did such a stellar job with packaging and the statuette itself (has some really nice weight to it). I enjoyed working with their team with providing feedback along the way and getting this one out the door. Good stuff!

Solid Packaging.

Statuette is a great size and heavy!

Statuette looks great!
